“State laws that prohibit the right to terminate a pregnancy with no regard to the health and safety of the mother violate Jewish law. A Jewish person who is denied the right to an abortion to preserve her health is kept from what Florida’s constitution guarantees as the free exercise of her religious conscience.” – Rabbi Dan Levin
Temple Beth El and other Florida Reform congregations, working with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, are committed to pursuing Reproductive freedom. Recently, an effort to restore reproductive rights has been announced through putting forth a ballot initiative in 2024. Nearly 1,000,000 signatures will need to be collected to make this happen.
Join us on Sunday, June 4 at 11:00 am at the Schaefer Family Campus to learn more about this effort. Leaders from Temple Beth El and RAC-FL will discuss how a coalition across the State of Florida are working together to make this happen.
The Town Hall will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
