SUMMARY:Shabbat Evening Services: The Benefit of Doubt with Rabbi Michael Marmur (Wisdom & Wonder Series)
DESCRIPTION:6:00 pm Shabbat Services\nFollowed by Optional Dinner and Learning with Rabbi Michael Marmur \nRabbi Michael Marmur\, our Wisdom & Wonder speaker\, will participate in our Shabbat Evening Service. We will also hear from The Giving Tree as they launch their annual Holiday Wish List Program. \nIn this week’s Torah portion we read of the Binding of Isaac\, often read as the classic example of religious certainty. In this session\, and in Rabbi Michael Marmur’s remarks during Friday night Shabbat services\, we will highlight doubt rather than certainty\, and suggest that doubt is to be embraced as a crucial tool rather than demonized or rejected. Where does doubt figure in Jewish tradition? Come to the session and find out! \nWisdom & Wonder invites you to engage with deep questions\, explore new ideas\, and learn from dynamic scholars. \nDinner Prices: \nMembers: $38 per person\nGuests of Members: $43 per person\nPrices increase by $5 per person as of Monday\, October 27.\nRegistration closes at 12:00 pm on Tuesday\, November 4. \nRegister\n\nLivestream YouTube Facebook \n
