SUMMARY:Shabbat Evening Services: Consecration of Rabbi Ashira Boxman
DESCRIPTION:Consecration of Rabbi Ashira Boxman with special guests Rabbi Jeffrey Sirkman and Rabbi Bradd Boxman \nJoin us as we celebrate the consecration of Rabbi Ashira Boxman as Temple Beth El’s assistant rabbi. \nSpecial Guests: \nRabbi Jeffrey Sirkman has served Larchmont Temple in New York for 37 years\, and as senior rabbi since 1994.  In partnership with the spiritual leadership with whom he has served\, Rabbi Sirkman has helped to create a covenant of congregational life\, fostering personal Jewish commitment on the part of every member/household through an ever-developing relationship with Torah (Jewish Study)\, Avodah (Spiritual Search)\, and Gemilut Hasadim (Deeds of Sacred Kindness).  For the past 25 years\, he has served as the Rabbi Stephen Wise Visiting Scholar at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion\, teaching 5th-year rabbinic and cantorial students\, the year-long course for senior students in professional development. \nRabbi Bradd Boxman is the spiritual leader of Congregation Kol Tikvah in Parkland\, where he has served as Rabbi since 2009. Rabbi Boxman is committed to five particular areas of his rabbinate: 1) to be in touch with the needs and desires of his congregation; 2) to function as a teacher and exemplar of Torah; 3) to devote a significant amount of time to issues of social justice; 4) to communicate effectively with his congregation by speaking honestly and passionately about issues of Jewish and social concern; and 5) above all else\, to serve as a mensch: a role model of ethical behavior\, moral integrity and compassionate loving kindness. \n  \n\nLivestream YouTube Facebook
