SUMMARY:YES on 4 Text Bank and Chill
DESCRIPTION:TAKE ACTION for an hour of text banking to restore reproductive rights in Florida! Enjoy wine and cheese and time with your fellow congregants while we text voters to vote YES on Amendment 4 – the Amendment to limit government interference with abortion. Reproductive Freedom is a Jewish value\, and we are working to restore that right in Florida. After text banking\, you are invited to join our Religious School students for some moments of Tefilah (prayer and song)\, an uplifting end to a meaningful day. Learn why Reproductive Freedom is a Jewish value. \nRegister for text banking here. You will be texting through a web based program called Scale to Win\, so your cell number will remain private! Instructions to create a “YES on 4” texting account will be shared in a confirmation email once you register to attend. \nRegister

SUMMARY:Souls to the Polls
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with DISC of Pearl City\, an interracial social change organization\, the Jewish Community Relations Council of South Palm Beach County\, and the churches in Pearl City\, Temple Beth El is welcoming all to participate in Souls to the Polls as the Black and Jewish communities stand shoulder to shoulder to exercise our fundamental right to vote. \nOur tradition teaches that “A leader should not be appointed until the community is consulted” (Talmud Brachot 55a). Expressing our desires through voting is the most fundamental American right\, and is especially important for minority groups. \nOn Sunday\, October 27 at 1:30pm we will gather in Pearl City at Ebenezer Baptist Church for an Early Voting Rally at 1:30 pm. We will hear from Rabbi Greg Weisman\, the Reverend Ronald L. Brown and community leaders including the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link. At 2:00 pm\, as a group\, we will walk to an Early Voting Site and stand together in fellowship and community to take our turn to cast our ballot. \nIn addition to registering to participate\, we are looking for volunteers willing to drive folks between the nearby polling site and Pearl City. \nRegister\nClick here to confirm your voter registration status.
