SUMMARY:Parsha Perspectives - The Convenant of Responsibility with Dr. Alan Morinis
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Morinis will lead Parsha Perspectives where we will draw a lesson from Parashat Yitro that has great applicability in our contemporary world. The Israelites have been liberated from Egypt\, but that only frees them from oppression. The next step in establishing true freedom is to enter into a meaningful moral covenant. This clash between freedom and responsibility is mirrored in the world in which we live. Drawing on venerable Jewish teachings on the inner trait of responsibility [achrayut\, in Hebrew]\, we will draw lessons from the Parasha that are entirely applicable in our own lives. \n Zoom Link Livestream \n  \nDr. Alan Morinis is an author\, teacher\, and founder of The Mussar Institute\, the world’s leading provider of contemporary Mussar instruction. His newest book\, The Shabbat Effect\, shows how Shabbat can bring meaning\, rest\, and renewal into everyday life.
