DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, June 21 we will be commemorating Juneteenth by welcoming Pastor Ronald Brown of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Pearl City\, along with the church’s choir. \nJuneteenth marks the end of human slavery\, as on June 19\, 1865 the last enslaved Texans were freed\, a freedom guaranteed by the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862. \nIn addition to the musical celebration by the church’s choir and our congregation’s cantorial team\, Pastor Ronald Brown and Rabbi Greg Weisman will sit in conversation about Black-Jewish relations and our shared historic struggle for freedom. \nJoin us in person at the Schaefer Family Campus or watch online. \n\nLivestream YouTube Facebook
