DESCRIPTION:We are so excited you are considering being a Counselor in Training (CIT) this summer! Being a CIT\, you have the ability to make lasting memories for our campers while building important life skills. While you will work hard\, you should feel rewarded at the end of each day knowing you brought joy to our campers’ lives. 								\n				\n					\n		\n					\n		\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n				\n					What is a CIT?				\n				\n				\n				\n									A CIT is a leader-in-training\, provided with the opportunity to assist the summer camp counselors with many aspects of the camp day.  CITs are role models\, and in addition to working with the children\, will engage in continued professional development skill sessions throughout the summer. 								\n				\n					\n		\n				\n			\n						\n				\n																														\n				\n					\n		\n					\n		\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n				\n																														\n				\n					\n		\n				\n			\n						\n				\n					What are the responsibilities  of a CIT?				\n				\n				\n				\n									CITs follow the direction of the head counselor. Examples of some responsibilities may include: helping students put on their socks and shoes\, engaging with the kids during water play\, reading to the children\, helping to prepare for classroom activities\, and providing support during the implementation of classroom activities. 								\n				\n					\n		\n					\n		\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n				\n					Important Information				\n				\n				\n				\n									This program is for teens who are entering 8th through 12th grades next school year.Teens can choose to work a half day ending at 1:00pm or work a full day until 3:15pm. If would like to stay longer\, we can explore this on a case-by-case basis.There are three sessions. You can choose how many you’d like to work.At least two Wednesdays per session will include a professional development program.Every Wednesday\, will include a check-in meeting and lunch provided by Temple Beth El.All CITs must have a background check for our ELC licensing\, and a few other documents will also be required.
