Welcome to High Holy Days at Temple Beth El of Boca Raton, FL! We are so excited to celebrate with you.
Rosh HaShanah begins the evening of Friday, September 15.

New This Year!

All Congregational Worship & Family Participation Services will be held at Temple Beth El. Young Children’s Services will be held on Rosh HaShanah at Temple Beth El, and on Yom Kippur at FAU’s Friedberg Auditorium. Click here for more information.

Join Our High Holy Days Service in person!

Congregational Worship Services

Tickets are required for our Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services, and will be held in person at the Temple Beth El Schaefer Family Campus. Many services will be held simultaneously in the Rabbi Merle E. Singer Sanctuary and the Beck Family Chapel at the Schaefer Family Campus.

Temple Beth El members and their guests will be invited to worship in the Rabbi Merle E. Singer Sanctuary, and non-members will be invited to worship in the Beck Family Chapel at the Schaefer Family Campus.

There are NO Congregational Worship services at FAU. These services will also be available online on Virtual Beth El. Click here for the full service schedule.

Family Participation Services

Tickets are required. Services will be held at 1:30 pm on both holidays at the Temple Beth El Schaefer Family Campus. There are NO Family Participation services at FAU. Services will also be available on Virtual Beth El.

Share the High Holy Days together as a family, with family-friendly liturgy and a festive, participatory environment. The service is designed for families with children ages 8 through early teens, and will be a meaningful High Holy Day experience for all.

Young Children's Services

Tickets are not required, but free registration is requested. Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Rosh HaShanah at the Temple Beth El Schaefer Family Campus, and at 3:00 pm on Yom Kippur at FAU’s Friedberg Auditorium in the Osher Lifelong Learning Center. These services are free to attend, but capacity is limited, so we ask that you register in advance.

Bring your young children ages 8 and under to this afternoon service designed especially for them and filled with music, story and our famous High Holy Day skits.

Parking
North and south lots will be available for parking. Overflow parking will be available at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church across the street, and Church on the Hill, just north of Temple Beth El. Please park in designated parking spots only and observe handicapped and reserved parking signs.

YOM KIPPUR YOUNG CHILDREN’S SERVICE ONLY

Parking
LOT 15. Located across from the Friedberg Auditorium, this lot is the primary parking area for the Osher Lifelong Learning Center. The parking area is designated with orange signs, and orange parking lines.

If the designated section of Lot 15 is full, parking may be available in other lots with the blue color designation, and any spots with white lines can be used as well.

  • Please do not use the visitor-reserved meters.
  • Please do not park in red lined spaces.
  • Please park all vehicles “nose-in.” Vehicles that are backed in will be ticketed.

Parking

FAU Student Union/Kaye Auditorium is located on FAU’s Boca Raton Campus at 777 Glades Road just east of I95.

On Rosh HaShannah, you may park in any available spot in lots 10, 12, 13, 14, or 15. Shuttle buses will run regularly throughout the morning beginning one hour before services. Pick up will be clearly marked at both the south entrance of the Basketball Arena (directly across from the athletic field house) and at the entrance to the Tom Oxsley Athletic Center.  It is also a quick walk east on Volusia Street, crossing over West University Drive and following the covered walkway into the north entrance of the Student Union.

On Yom Kippur Evening (Kol Nidre) you may park in any available spot in any parking lot including the parking garage on Volusia Street (PG1).  If the spot is metered, you must pay for it. There are no shuttle buses.

On Yom Kippur Day, you may park in any available spot in lots 10, 12, 13, 14, or 15. Shuttle buses will run regularly throughout the morning beginning one hour before services. To get to the lots, enter the main entrance of FAU at Glades Road and 10th Avenue (West University Drive). Lot 15 is the second left across from the Student Union.  If that lot is full, turn left at the second traffic light onto Volusia Street.  Make the first right into lot 10.  If lot 10 is full, you may take the third right into lots 12, 13 and 14.

To get to the Volusia garage, enter the main entrance of FAU at Glades Road and 10th Avenue (West University Drive). Turn right at the second traffic light onto Volusia Street.  Make the first left into the garage.  Exit the garage to the South, cross Volusia, and follow the covered walkway to the Auditorium.
