“Striking. And haunting,” is what Oprah Winfrey calls Jennifer Senior’s new book On Grief. The same words could be used to describe the Passover story, the movement of the Jewish people from slavery to freedom. Through the lens of Passover words and songs, and Jennifer’s take on the stories we tell, we will see the ancient story come alive in a beautiful, spiritual evening.
On Grief was originally published in The Atlantic under the title “What Bobby McIlvaine Left Behind” and was the winner of the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in Feature Writing.
