Heather Erez

Heather Erez, RJE (Reform Jewish Educator) comes to us from Northern California. After receiving her Bachelors from California State University, Chico in Liberal Studies with a minor in Modern Jewish and Israel Studies, she moved to Kibbutz Tzora in Israel to teach. Upon her return to the states she became the Assistant Director at San Francisco Hillel where she worked for 9 years. Following her passion for Jewish education, she went back to school at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion to get her Masters in Religious Education in the inaugural year of the Executive Masters of Arts program. She came to Temple Beth El after 5 years of running the Religious and Hebrew school at Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco. Heather has served as a board member for the Association of Reform Jewish Educators and continues to further her professional development as part of the Mandel Teacher Educator Institutes cohort focusing on enhancing teacher education in the field.

In her spare time, Heather serves on the Spanish River Community High School PTSA executive board and volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem for Palm Beach County. Heather, along with her husband, Shachar, are the proud parents of Noam and Eden.
