Rabbi Amy Grossblatt Pessah

Adjunct Rabbi

Rabbi Amy Grossblatt Pessah is a part-time adjunct member of Temple Beth El’s clergy team.  She has taught in our adult education program, located in Boca Raton, FL, for 25 years, including leading a cohort of Adult Confirmation.  In addition, she has served as an advisor to our Jewish Spirituality Task Force and was the featured leader of our Sisterhood Women’s Seder in 2018.

Rabbi Amy Grossblatt Pessah spearheads our Wise Living program (formerly known as Wise Aging) and co-facilitates Rosh Hodesh gatherings and Mussar & Movement. Additionally, Rabbi Amy teaches classes on Jewish Spiritual Parenting, Jewish Mysticism, Mussar, as well as, supports other facets of our congregational life.

Rabbi Pessah was ordained by Aleph: Alliance for Jewish Renewal and is a graduate of the Rhea Hirsch School of Jewish Education at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion where she received a Master of Arts in Jewish Education. Her undergraduate work was completed at Washington University in St. Louis where she graduated magna cum laude with a double Bachelor’s degree in History and Jewish Near-Eastern Studies.

She is a national expert on Family Education, and has taught in synagogues throughout our area. She trained and practices as a Jewish Spiritual Director and is the author of the forthcoming book Parenting On A Prayer.
