Join a Small Group at Temple Beth El

Small groups provide meaningful experiences for our congregation to connect or meet their fellow members to develop new relationships.

Whether it’s through a shared passion via Beth El Circles, a group of friends via Beth El Chavurot, or through Sababa: Young Jewish Professionals, you can meet your people at Temple Beth El!

Are you a movie maven? Maybe you are ready to fiddle with photography, tackle trivia or make a beeline to the beach. Well then, you have found the right place to be!

We are a small group initiative where you can find and connect with other members with shared interests, hobbies and passions. Some Groups meet in person, some on Zoom and some are even hybrid! Join the fun now!

Are you looking for a fun way to meet people and make friends within our Temple community?

Join a Chavurah – a group of friends who have a great time getting together for social and Jewish activities. Groups can go anywhere and do anything. You can sit together for a Shabbat Service, hit up happy hour, plan a game night, celebrate a holiday, check out a new restaurant – it’s up to you!

Contact Rachael Rand, Engagement and Programming Senior Associate, if you have any questions.

Sababa:
Young Jewish Professionals

For People in their 20s & 30s

Are you a young adult in Boca Raton? Regardless of whether you grew up at Temple Beth El, or are new to the area, this community is for you! We aim to create meaningful opportunities that will expand your network, connect you to Judaism, and be fun for all.

This growing group of Young Jewish Professionals will get together regularly for

  1. Big community events. Large, social gatherings at a restaurant or bar in Boca Raton or Delray Beach. No guarantees, but so far, a shidduch has been made at each one of these!
  2. Small Group Get Togethers. We look forward to partnering with One Table for Subsidized Shabbat Dinners around town.
  3. Pop-Ups! Casual, spontaneous meet-ups with Rabbi Elana Rabishaw and Rabbi Evan Susman.
