Counselor in Training Program
Beth El Teens
Become a Counselor
in Training this summer!
We are so excited you are considering being a CIT this summer! Being a CIT, you have the ability to make lasting memories for our campers while building important life skills. While you will work hard, you should feel rewarded at the end of each day knowing you brought joy to our campers’ lives.
Please reach out to Ollie Frieze with any questions.Â
What is a CIT?
A CIT is a rising leader, provided with the opportunity to assist the Beth El Early Learning Center summer camp counselors with many aspects of the camp day. Â CITs are role models, and in addition to working with the children, will engage in continued professional development skill sessions throughout the summer.
What are the responsibilities of a CIT?
CITs follow the direction of the head counselor. Examples of some responsibilities may include: helping students put on their socks and shoes, engaging with the kids during water play, reading to the children, helping to prepare for classroom activities, and providing support during the implementation of classroom activities.
