A gifted teacher and innovative spiritual leader, Rabbi Haas is passionate about creating meaningful and engaging Jewish experiences that invite people to see the world through a Jewish lens. Ordained in 2011 by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, she feels deeply honored to be invited into people’s lives in moments of joy and sorrow and walk alongside them as they navigate their Jewish journey. At Temple Beth El she is deeply involved in guiding our Adult Learning and Engagement programming and focused on the work of Spiritual Growth and Ritual.
Rooted in Torah and guided by a belief that the sacred is accessible in daily life, Rabbi Haas inspires others to nurture their own spiritual growth, empowers people to connect to their inner spirit through prayer, ritual and learning.
Her commitment to Am Yisrael, her deep love of Israel and authentic Jewish expression is at the heart of her rabbinate. She serves on the international Board of Directors for the Center for Israel Education and is a member of the Jewish Leadership Advisory board of Florida Atlantic University.
Rabbi Haas spent the first seven years of her career as the Associate Rabbi at Temple Emanu-El in Birmingham, Alabama. During her tenure there, Rabbi Haas built a robust adult-education program, established an innovative process for engaging new members, and leveraged her creativity in Temple programming and strategic planning. In addition, she founded “The Discovery School”, Temple Emanu-El’s Early Learning Center. She served as Director of Adult Learning and Growth for the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education in Miami from 2018-2024. There she created a new strategic vision for adult learning and growth for the entire Miami-Dade Jewish community,
A native of Miami Beach, Rabbi Haas graduated from the University of Miami, and earned a Masters of Educational Administration from Xavier University. She studied leadership at The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
Rabbi Haas, her husband, “the Hubbetzin” Will Evans and their son Asher feel so blessed to be part of the Temple Beth El family and members of the vibrant Jewish community of Boca Raton.
