We’ll begin with the historical world of the Maccabees and the events that gave rise to the holiday, then turn to the Talmud to discover how the rabbis reshaped the story of Chanukah for generations to come. Finally, we’ll bring Chanukah into our own time, exploring its enduring themes of identity, religious freedom, courage, and resilience.
