Rosh HaShanah Morning in the Beck Family Chapel (Schaefer Family Campus)
Tickets are required. Your High Holy Day ticket gives you access to your choice of the Congregational Worship morning service in the Sanctuary, or these services in the Chapel. Seating is first come, first served.
We begin our year with new beginnings. As we usher in 5787 with word and song, we gather not as a crowd but as a circle to pray in the round, with faces turned toward one another. The new beginnings this year feel less like a theme and more like a shared experience, discovered together, in eye contact, in the shared hush before the shofar.
We will read Torah from the middle of the circle, voices rising and falling around us like a current. The shofar’s blast moves through the room rather than at it. We will prepare ourselves to ask, “what am I ready to release, and what might I begin again?” We leave a little more known to each other, and to ourselves, ready to start the year.
Tickets are required to attend in person, or you can watch online on Virtual Beth El.
