Shabbat Shira and Consecration of Senior Cantorial Leader Michelle Auslander Cohen

Join us for a very special Shabbat Shira as we celebrate the consecration of our new Senior Cantorial Leader, Michelle Auslander Cohen. Shabbat Shira is called, “the Shabbat of Song” as it recalls the extraordinary moment when the Jewish people sang their way through parted waters to freedom.
As we celebrate the freedom of our people, we also celebrate the freedom to discover who we are and the courage to follow the journey that calls us forward. Freedom is not only the ability to choose our path, but the freedom to explore who we are becoming and where that path may lead. In this spirit, Michelle’s consecration centers on the timeless call of Lech L’cha—a journey toward oneself, toward purpose, and toward all that we are meant to become.
This evening’s celebration will be enhanced with Coleen Dieker, world renowned composer and musician, as well as our Temple choirs and Friday night musicians.
