The Art of Ritual: Ceremonial Objects of Artist Tobi Kahn

On view at the Schaefer Family Campus November 2 – 30
Experience ceremonial works from the private collection of internationally acclaimed artist Tobi Kahn, whose art has been exhibited in major museums and galleries around the world. Through contemporary ritual objects, Kahn explores the intersection of Jewish tradition, spirituality, and the visual arts, revealing what he calls “the spirit of our inner lives—mysterious, resonant, a sanctuary in a still struggling world. Judaism has emphasized words, language and commentary, I have found the visual elements of the tradition equally illuminating.”
On view throughout November at the Schaefer Family Campus, this special exhibition invites us to encounter the sacred through the eyes of one of today’s most celebrated Jewish artists.
This exhibit is made possible by Friends of Music and the Arts and in partnership with the Boca Raton Museum of Art.
Tobi Kahn is an internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor whose work has been featured in more than 70 solo museum exhibitions and is held in major collections, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Phillips Collection, The Jewish Museum, and Yale University Art Gallery. For more than 40 years, Kahn has taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York and has lectured internationally on visual language, spirituality, and art as a source of healing. His solo survey exhibition, Tobi Kahn: Quest for the Essence, opens at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Fall 2026.
