Antisemitism: Where Are We Today and Where Are We Going with Guest Speaker David Harris

Wednesday, March 11 | 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

David Harris, a lifelong Jewish activist, will be joining us to discuss two important topics: the ongoing war between the US, Israel, and Iran and the rise of antisemitism across the world.

David has spent an illustrious career travelling the world on behalf of the Jewish people. he led the American Jewish Committee (AJC) which has been described by the New York Times as the “dean of American Jewish organizations” from 1990 – 2022. He was referred to by the late Israeli President Shimon Peres as the “foreign minister of the Jewish people.” Harris has been honored more than 20 times by foreign governments for his international work, making him the most decorated American Jewish organizational leader in U.S. history.

His unique experience and lifetime of service to the Jewish people offer him unique insights into the complex global relationships at play as the US and Israel are at war with the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also recently published Antisemitism: What Everyone Needs to Know, sharing his collected wisdom from his life and career on the causes, threats, and potential solutions to this millennia-old concern.

He will share his insights in conversation with Rabbi Greg Weisman and answer questions from the community.
