Beth El Teens Trip to Israel

Rabbi Greg Weisman and Heather Erez will be leading the trip to Israel. J2 will be the trip provider. More information about the itinerary and J2 can be accessed through the LEARN MORE button below. We will need at least 20 students to pay the deposit and purchase their flights by the September 19 deadline for this trip to go. Interested families should fill out the form below, once we see we have enough interest, we will send flight details for families to purchase before the deadline.
Trip dates: December 22 – 31, 2025
Get ready for an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind journey to Israel—exclusively for Beth El Teens! This trip is for 10th-12th graders who are alumni or current students of our Temple Beth El Confirmation class. This incredible trip is generously subsidized by the Temple Beth El Teen Travel to Israel Fund, making it more affordable than ever.
Cost Explanation
Families are responsible for:
– A deposit of $1000 per child by Sept 19, 2025. Of the $1000 deposit we are asking families to pay per participant, $500 will be refundable after the trip assuming your child does attend the trip. If your child does not go on the trip, the full $1000 deposit will become nonrefundable after September 19, 2025.
– Flights for their children, via El Al, approx. $2000 round trip
– Purchasing travel insurance for their child’s trip, approx. $100
– 2 meals a day in Israel, approx. $30-$50/day
– Tips for driver and tour guide – approx. $20/day
Total anticipated costs for families per student: $3100-$3300
Please note: The total cost of this trip is approximately $6,500 per student. Temple Beth El’s Israel Teen Travel Fund is covering $2,780 of that total, and the remainder (approximately $3,720) is the responsibility of the participants. The full ground cost of this trip is $3280 per participant1. Temple Beth El’s Teen Trip to Israel Fund is generously covering $2780 of the ground costs for each student that attends the trip.
Deposits are due by September 19, 2025.
*If the trip is cancelled by the provider or Temple Beth El, the full $1000 deposit will be refunded.
** El Al will issue a travel credit if the flight is not used. It is transferable and good up to a year. Temple Beth El will not reimburse families for flights if the trip is cancelled or if your child does not go on the trip.
*** Every participant will need to purchase FULL TRAVEL INSURANCE that has cancellation for any reason. Many travel insurance companies will ask that you purchase your insurance within a week of your deposit date. Travel Guard provides travel insurance to Israel.
1 This rate is based on a triple occupancy room. Additional rates will apply for a double or single room, which the family will need to cover, in full, if that option is possible.
