Join us for a special session with Jeanette Kuvin Oren, the designer of the USPS Chanukah Stamp, and a talented Judaic artist. Learn the story behind the Chanukah Stamp designed by Jeanette Kuvin Oren. Chanukah stamps have special significance to our congregation, since Temple Beth El was the site of the 2016 national Chanukah stamp dedication ceremony.
Jeanette will share insights into her creative process for designing the stamp, as well as her work on commissioned Torah mantles, Ark curtains, wall hangings, and mosaics.
Jeanette will also lead us in a hands-on paper-cutting lesson. Afterward, enjoy refreshments and the chance to chat with her!
Since 1984, Jeanette has worked with more than 400 synagogues around the world. Jeanette was featured on the acclaimed national documentary series Artful. In 2019, Jeanette made the Torah covers for Temple Beth El. Jeanette and her husband Dr. Dan Oren are new residents of Boca Raton.
Limited space available for the paper-cutting class. Everyone is welcome to attend the lecture.
This experience is funded by the Friends of Music and the Arts.
