Shabbat Dinner and Learning: Mastering Your Spiritual Curriculum with Dr. Alan Morinis
Join Dr. Morinis for a Shabbat dinner and learning about cultivating our inner lives. We may not realize it, but those aspects of our inner life that trip us up are not weaknesses nor flaws but a curriculum. That’s the central message of Orchot Tzaddikim, an anonymous Jewish text from the 16th century that presents developing your character as the central task of human life. It tells us that our job is to recognize and then work to develop those specific traits in us that have not yet reached their potential. That’s how we grow, we flourish, and we move closer to fulfilling our innate potential as human beings, along a distinctly Jewish path.
