Shabbat Evening Services: Rabbi Rachel Mikva and February Birthday Blessings (Wisdom & Wonder Series)

Rabbi Rachel Mikva will focus on dangerous religious ideas—all religious ideas are dangerous—not only those we might consider extremist, but even those that stand at the heart of faith, and your own. Because most religious traditions have always understood this peril, they have transmitted tools of self-critique. Putting Jewish thought and practice in conversation with Christianity and Islam, we explore how the potential for blessing in religion is bound up with its potential for harm, and the necessity of self-critical faith.

We will also be offering a special blessing to everyone born in the month of February.
