Torah Study Through a Mussar Lens: Exploring Parashat Yitro with Dr. Alan Morinis
Saturday, January 30, 2027 | 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Dr. Morinis joins us for Torah Study and will help us open up some perennial lessons embodied in Parashat Yitro. Special focus will be given to the instruction that directs us to be a “goy kadosh,” a holy nation. What does that mean? What do we have to do to live up to that ideal? Has the establishment of the state of Israel been a step in that direction? And even more fundamentally, what is this quality called “holiness” and what can cause us to embody it, individually and collectively? There is reason to think that answering these question is a key to building a vibrant Jewish future.
