Craig grew up in Newton, Massachusetts—often jokingly referred to as “the Boca Raton of Massachusetts”—where he was the Dual County League golf champion his senior year of high school. He went on to attend the University of Virginia as an undergraduate and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
After a brief time practicing law in Boston, Craig began his career in the Jewish communal world, holding roles with several national organizations including the American Jewish Congress, The Jewish Council for Public Affairs, and the National Jewish Coalition for Literacy. He later transitioned into the performing arts, beginning with his role as Executive Director of Sixth & I Synagogue in Washington, D.C.—a vibrant Jewish arts and culture center.
Over the past 15 years, Craig built a distinguished career at the intersection of Jewish life and the arts. Among his many accomplishments, Craig is especially proud of the decade he spent as Executive Director of the Fox Tucson Theatre, where he combined his passion for building strong institutions with his love of live music.
Craig looks forward to working alongside the talented staff at Temple Beth El and becoming part of the community.
