Originally from Philadelphia, Irene Abrams graduated with a degree in Marketing. Since she was a young child, her family was very active in a Conservative Synagogue, where she was Bat Mitzvah and Confirmed. Jewish customs and participating in Temple continued throughout her married life. Irene enjoys being part of a Jewish community whether it is at an event, Shabbat services or volunteering in a synagogue and making new friends.
Irene migrated to Florida in 1992 where she continued her career as a healthcare nurse recruiter for 25 years. She has a strong customer service background. In the past couple of years, Irene changed careers and has worked in the funeral home industry where her compassion and kindness help families make tough decisions.
Irene recently moved back to Palm Beach County where she has found a new, warm community here at Temple Beth El and the Beth El Mausoleum.
Irene lives in Delray Beach. She loves animals and volunteers at shelters in her free time. She has a passion for travelling as much as she can, theater, baseball and participating in 5k walkathons for charity.
