Mike Sirowitz

Mausoleum Director

Mike, a native New Yorker, had the opportunity to retire early and relocated to Boca Raton in 2017.   Prior to moving to Florida, Mike was Partner and Senior VP/Director of Operations for two related companies:  Summer Study Programs, running pre-college summer programs for high school students at multiple college campuses in the United States and France, and Creative Travel International, a full service corporate and leisure travel agency.  In these roles, Mike had a senior business leadership position supervising a large staff and running the operations of two complex businesses where an extremely high level of customer service was critical to success.    Outside of work, Mike was an active member, board member, Brotherhood Vice President, volunteer usher and congregant of Temple Sinai of Roslyn Heights in NY.  As soon as he arrived in Florida, Mike joined Temple Beth El and began to make his presence known.  So much so that when the opportunity to become Mausoleum Director arose, we reached out to Mike as the obvious choice.   Mike agreed to “unretire” and eagerly accepted the position without much arm-twisting.

On a personal note, Mike has a son named Jacob who is fulfilling his dream of traveling the world, working as a Bosun on a 164′ luxury yacht in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas, the Pacific and Indian Oceans.  When not at work, Mike enjoys coming to synagogue, watching sports, live music and traveling as much as possible.
