Rachel is an experienced accounting professional with over 30 years in the nonprofit sector. Holding a Master’s degree in Accounting from Hofstra University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida International University (FIU), Rachel is a CPA licensed in both New York and Florida.
Rachel began her career in public accounting with a focus on nonprofit clients where she specialized in auditing and financial reporting. Over the course of 20 years, Rachel gained extensive experience working with two different synagogues, where she honed her skills in budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance specific to religious organizations. Rachel has always felt the pull to work for Jewish organizations. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping Rachel’s approach to nonprofit accounting.
In her current role as Accounting Manager at Temple Beth El, Rachel brings a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the unique financial challenges faced by religious nonprofit institutions.
Rachel resides in Coral Springs, Florida with her husband Joe and children Paul and Skylar (when they are not at college). Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends traveling, going to farmer’s markets and rooting for the Gators.
