Boca Raton, FL (September 25, 2026) — Temple Beth El of Boca Raton invites the public to a powerful and timely community conversation, “Finding Our Home: LGBTQ+ Journeys in the Jewish Community,” on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 4:00 pm. Through stories of family, faith, identity, and inclusion, our panelists will examine what makes LGBTQ+ advocacy a deeply Jewish value. The program will be held at the Temple Beth El Schaefer Family Campus and is free and open to all members of the community.
“Over the past several years, we have seen too many places where folks in the LGBTQ+ community need to hide that part of themselves. Temple Beth El and the Reform Jewish community works hard to be a place that welcomes and celebrates everyone, including who their heart calls them to love. I’m thrilled to welcome Rabbi Micah Buck back to Temple Beth El, to celebrate Amy, Charlie, and Taylor and our entire LGBTQ+ community, and to provide a space where everyone can be fully seen for who they are,” said Rabbi Greg Weisman.
The panel discussion will examine the vital intersection of Jewish identity, belonging, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. Participants will explore what it truly means to build a compassionate, inclusive Jewish community where every individual feels seen, valued, and safe.
Moderated by Rabbi Greg Weisman, the conversation will feature prominent national and local voices, including:
- Rabbi Micah Buck of Keshet, a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to achieving full LGBTQ+ equality in Jewish life.
- Members of the Temple Beth El congregation, who will share their unique, personal perspectives on navigating family, faith, identity and inclusion.
