Temple Beth El Hosts Internationally Renowned Jewish Thought-Leader Dr. Zohar Raviv on October 7th for Thriving Not Surviving

BOCA RATON, FL (October 2, 2026) — Temple Beth El of Boca Raton invites the community to attend “Thriving Not Surviving” on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 7:00 pm at their Schaefer Family Campus in east Boca Raton. This profound and timely program, features guest speaker: Dr. Zohar Raviv, one of the world’s most influential Jewish educators.

Marking the solemn anniversary of the horrific events of October 7, 2023, this special installment of the temple’s Wisdom & Wonder Series will pivot from grief toward a future of hope. Dr. Raviv will guide attendees in exploring how the Jewish community can honor its history while actively drawing upon its historical resilience and strength. The presentation aims to reframe the contemporary Jewish narrative from one of mere survival to one of renewal and thriving.

Temple Beth El Rabbi Laila Haas says, “Zohar Raviv brings wisdom, heart and a deep love for the Jewish people to everything he teaches. It is especially meaningful to welcome him from Israel for our congregation’s October 7th commemoration. Through his teaching and insight, he will help us honor memory while drawing strength from the hope and resilience of Am Yisrael, the Jewish people, and shape a Jewish future defined not only by survival, but by renewal, possibility and thriving.”

The program will include a question-and-answer session, followed by a reception.

Attendance is free, but registration is required at tbeboca.org/thriving.

Additional Weekend Events with Dr. Zohar Raviv Open to the Community

Beyond the keynote lecture, the community is invited to engage with Dr. Raviv throughout the weekend during two additional sessions:
