Join us as Rabbi Dan Levin interviews Rabbi David Azoulay about the hardships his community has faced since October 7th – how the war has impacted the daily lives of his congregation and the immense challenges so many families are facing.
Rabbi David Azoulay is a newly ordained Israeli Reform Rabbi, serving at our sister congregation YOZMA in Modi’in, Israel. Along with Rabbi Nir Barkin, he is one of the spiritual leaders in a congregation which has faced unimaginable hardships since October 7th. Rabbi Azoulay is the recipient of the President’s Fellowship from HUC-JIR, and with this prestigious honor, he was able to spend time with our community last year, and will return again beginning March 15 for just over a week. We look forward to welcoming him, to learning from him, and in turn, to be a source of comfort and strength for him during these turbulent times. As always, we stand in solidarity with Israel and feel honored to have an opportunity to support him and the important work he does on behalf of the Reform Movement and all of the people of Israel.
