Elana Arian

A composer, multi-instrumentalist, and prayer leader, Elana Arian is one of the leading voices in contemporary Jewish music. Elana’s music is part of Jewish life in synagogues across the globe. Elana just released her fourth album of original music, The Other Side of Fear, and her compositions have been published in countless Transcontinental Music collections. Elana serves proudly on the faculty of Hava Nashira (Oconomowoc, WI), the Wexner Heritage Foundation (Aspen, CO), Shirei Chagiga (London, England), and as an instructor at the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, where she teaches in the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music. Elana has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Tanglewood, and perhaps most memorably, five separate appearances at the (Obama) White House.

Deborah Sacks Mintz

An educator, practitioner, and facilitator of Jewish communal music, Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz serves the Hadar Institute as their Director of Tefillah and Music, supporting those who seek to deepen, sharpen, and unlock their practice of empowered song and tefila. Both within the beit midrash and out in the community, Deborah strives to interweave song and Torah as integrated tools in the process of unearthing the grassroots creative spirituality of the Jewish and global people. As a performer and composer, Deborah deeply treasures the process of artistic partnership; through her work on the founding team of the Rising Song Institute, she has collaborated on over two dozen albums with a diverse array of voices in the Jewish soundscape, including two albums of her own of original spiritual music, The Narrow and the Expanse (2020) and Yetzira (2023).

Chava Mirel

Chava Mirel is a unique being in the world of music and spirit, defying classifications of style or genre. A multi-award-winning musician and composer whose voice was recently featured on a Grammy award-winning album, Chava is highly sought-after for collaborations and recordings. Celebrated for her rich, luxurious vocals, lush harmonies, and rhythmic phrasing, Chava is also known for her loving and compassionate presence. Regardless of setting – spiritual gathering, concert hall, classroom or jazz club – she imbues her music and teachings with the universal themes of hope, caring, connection and inclusion. Chava exhibits ease and fluency in an expansive array of musical styles. She has toured and recorded with a spectrum of artists. An award-winning Jewish music composer, Chava provides outstanding artist-in-residence services at congregations from coast to coast. She has been featured on the Plenary Stage at Union of Reform Judaism Biennial Convention, and her compositions have been included in compilations and songbooks throughout the Jewish world. Chava has recently joined forces with two other Jewish music powerhouses, Elana Arian and Deborah Sacks Mintz, to form the supergroup New Moon Rising.
